    Research and Analysis
The Research and Analysis function, based in the Washington, D.C., office, is the Foundation's think-tank. It is focused on providing credible and authoritative information on civil, commercial, and national security space issues for policymakers, media, industry, academia, the financial community and the public. The flagship product of Research and Analysis is a report on the state of the space industry. The Space Report provides a comprehensive analysis of the full impact of the space sector on the overall economy. As a source of information on all aspects of space, Research and Analysis also cultivates relationships as an expert source for key media representatives and policymakers.

    Media and Communication Resources
News media turn to the Space Foundation for help with stories about all facets of space. The Space Foundation ensures the media have access to fair, balanced, and objective information sources and keeps them informed of major Foundation initiatives and key space program events. The Foundation recognizes the media's interest and expertise and invites them to participate in key symposium and conference activities.

    Public Policy and Government Affairs
By its charter, the Space Foundation is not a lobbying organization, but its nonprofit status does permit its resources to be used in educating legislators and their staffs. The Foundation maintains appropriate relationships with key Administration and Congressional officials and staff, providing background information and testimony in support of vigorous civil, commercial, and national security space policies. These efforts are managed from the Space Foundation's Washington, D.C., office.

    Corporate Membership
Membership with the Space Foundation places companies in the presence of industry giants and other successful, growing companies in the space industry. Space Foundation corporate members benefit from advance notice of Foundation event sponsorship and business opportunities, preferential exhibit hall positioning, reduced exhibit booth rates, complimentary event registrations and much more.

    Space Technology Hall of Fame®
Working closely with NASA's technology transfer and public information offices, the Space Foundation each year recognizes individuals, organizations, and companies that develop innovative products based on space technology. These honorees are enshrined in the Space Technology Hall of Fame®. The ever-growing list of inductees showcases the significant contributions that space technology has made to improve the quality of life for everyone around the world.

    Space Certification
If the origins of a consumer product come directly from technology or resources derived from the space program, it can be branded as a Certified Space Technology™ by the Space Foundation. This aggressive campaign allows companies to place the program's official seal on their products, clearly identifying them to the public as an example of how everyone benefits from space programs. Products already approved represent areas of technology, education, and entertainment.

    Space Education Programs
The Space Foundation offers programs to support teachers and PreK-20 students, while meeting standards-based education by integrating science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.) into their daily curriculum. For years, research has demonstrated that space exploration and development are the most powerful subjects teachers can introduce to their students to Launch Learning Excitement™. The Space Foundation's approach is to leverage its resources to the maximum extent by investing in teachers who, in turn, can impact their students.
